I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Arm (Cambridge, East of England, England) in Dec 2017
Interview
I applied on the career website. I was asked about two weeks later to complete a video interview. The questions were recorded and I had to answer in 2 or 3 minutes (depending on the questions). At the end of the video interview, there was a coding test.
A week later, I received an invitation for an onsite interview! As I was located in the South of France, they invited me to the Sophia-Antipolis office for a videoconference (the interviewers were in Cambridge). We talked about my previous experiences and at the end, I did some exercices on the white board.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
- Video interview: experience with data, educational background... During the coding exercice, I needed to implement a function returning all distinct characters not present in a string
- Previous experiences
- Exercices on the white board: linked list (how to implement one, how to add an element, complexity...)

Interview
Over all it is not too difficult. Some unexpected questions such as the schematic diagram of some digital gate. But they give me enough time to derive the result. It was alright

Interview
Well, what can I say? I applied in September 2018 and have received an email just today, after 7 weeks, notifying me that "At this time we have a number of other candidates in the process who are a better fit to the desired profile". I don't think it's a good company policy that allows them to put your CV on hold for such a long period of time and then not to be bothered to bring their constructive criticism &justified explanation of what skills were lacking. If it was just a CV application for the role, than yes, a potential employer is free to stay silent on a detailed feedback. BUT it was not just the CV, there was a duty to undertake 15- minute mandatory online test. Really? Guys, you can't get my personality based on your subjective test. It doesn't reflect either my personal or professional etique, it only reflects my possible reaction to your randomly picked scenarios in some limited situations. Overall, I am happy not to be selected for the face to face interview. That would be a time waste. Thanks.
