I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Arm (Bengaluru) in Jun 2019
Interview
5 rounds, 3 Technical, 1 Hiring Manager , 1 HR
1st round is telephonic mostly on DSA, Java and puzzles
2nd round is onsite, DSA , design and puzzles
3rd round DSA, Design and more puzzles
4th round with Hiring Manager was BORING.
5th round with HR regarding salary discussions
Interview questions were pretty easy, interviewers were pretty experienced, friendly and answered all the questions
Most important round was with HR regarding salary discussion, and it turned out to be very DISAPPOINTING .
The hike was lower than what a below average company offers during appraisal (because I had my appraisal 2 months back in current company which doesn't make sense ).
I really wanted to work with ARM but because of the money offered and negative reviews on glassdoor, I had to decline the offer.
Hope they improve.
We are sorry to hear you declined the offer due to the financials not being right. Whilst we are fortunate to have a culture driven by varying motivations, not always financial, we tend to be very competitive with our overall comp.

Interview
The interview process consisted of a screening followed by a take home programming assignment. The assignment was to be completed within 48 hours in c++. Next there was a long technical interview with questions around the programming assignment. There was also another problem which was discussed live during the interview. It ended with a few HR questions like where do you see yourself in the short term, etc.

Question 1

Interview
The C keywords questions (volatile, const, static), and some related ones, I think I did well. :) The interview felt very easy, so I don’t understand why they didn’t make me an offer : ) . I believe they might just be trying to be different, but if that’s the case, they should also back it up with the kinds of questions they ask. My guess is they’re either choosing randomly or making decisions mainly based on cost.

2 rounds of virtual technical interview and 1 round in-office technical interview.
Ghosted and no update or communication - negative or positive from the company HR.
Not expected after 3 rounds and from a top tier company with such good brand value and size.
