I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Argos (Dublín, Dublín)
Interview
Applied online and then got a call a few days later inviting me to an interview the following day. Very short interview with problem questions and questions about your own experience.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Argos (Small Heath, England) in Sep 2017
Interview
After a brief chat with the manager you are invited back another day to drive one of the vans. An external examiner is in there with you and its like a driving test but a bit more chilled out. If you have never driven a van before like me take extra precautions as you can misjudge the size of the van easily. When you get back they will tell you about the scoring which you will know about another day
They contacted me themselves through a talent website. After a brief (barely informative interview) they went forward with a set of 2 "take-at-home" style exercises on said website's platform.
I happened to be familiar with both of those, so not only did I give solutions that passed the tests, I had time to implement my own (extensive) unit tests.
The tests were about 90min long, so together with some practicing to get familiarity on the platform beforehand, I spent 3-4 hours.
Bigest waste of time ever.
Not only did they respond with a generic "sorry there was no fit" answer, but they never bothered answering my request for more feedback.
This is not how technical interviews work guys....
