I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Argos (Dudley, England) in Oct 2019
Interview
So, i applied online which was fairly easy wasnt asked for a cv or cover letter it was just a fill in sort of form. After a Half an hour i got a call from the store manager who asked if she could do a telephone interview. After doing this interview she phoned me back after 15 minutes giving me a date for a group interview. the day of the interview i had worn smart clothes shirt and tie with trousers and black shoes. you have to leave a good impression. i Arrived 15 mins early to make sure i was punctual if you take the bus id say leave 2 hours before the interview. they ask you to sign ur name and sign on a regisister. after this they take you upstairs in the staff room with all the other candidates. They ask you to become a pair with another candiadate and describe them for example , this is jerry he is 21 he has 4 kids hes studying law ect. after this you are given scenarios in groups of 3 which you then have to come up with a good answer if you are quiet during the process you are not guaranteed the job this is a discussion exersize. after this you are told to make an advert in a group of 4 that is 60 seconds you have to put in as much as you can .REMEMBER TO BRING UR PASSPORT AND YOUR NI NUMBER!!! PLEASE DO THIS as so many forgot they were leaving a bad impression.
Process was positive good communication and offer received in good time. Nice interviewer and sensible questions asked
Received a phone call first and then was invited in for an in person interview
This was a really bad interview. It felt very rushed and informal. I got the impression that the interviewer hadn’t prepped and was just free styling. I never heard anything after the interview which was disappointing as I value any feedback.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Argos (Manchester, Inglaterra) in May 2025
Interview
I applied for a Sales Assistant role at Argos and found the process to be quite enjoyable overall. The interview stage took about two weeks from start to finish. During the interview, I was asked questions such as “How would you deal with a difficult customer?”, “Why do you want to work at Argos?” and “Can you give an example of when you worked well in a team?”. Although I wasn’t offered the role in the end, I found the experience positive and a good opportunity to practice my interview skills.
