I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Argonne National Laboratory (Lemont, IL) in Aug 2017
Interview
Applied on career page for the lab but no response for most of the year. Cold emailed a senior scientist that I thought might be connected to the job posting. I got lucky and got it right. Shortly afterward, pending project funding, I progressed through a phone HR interview and a round of brief phone discussions with hiring committee. I was then brought on site for a full day interview that started with me presenting an hour long seminar on my research and ended with one on one meetings with the hiring committee members.
I applied the postdoc position (cold apply without contacting PI), wait for 2 weeks, but got no reply about the prescreening. And there is also no notification email about the prescreen results.

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Argonne National Laboratory (Lemont, IL) in Dec 2020
Interview
First I had a video interview with the division manager and the supervisors involved in the project work hiring the postdoc. This interview lasted about 1-1.5 hours. After this, I was told that I qualified for the second interview rounds. This round involved a seminar presentation given by me on my PhD studies, then several 30-45 minute interviews with other postdocs and researchers in the field. At the end I had a 1 hour final interview with the people who were present in the first interview.
