      I interviewed at AppsFlyer

      Interview

I interviewed for the role of CSM at AppsFlyer. I went through many steps in the process: sending a 5min video where I'm presenting myself and my interest for the role, 3 meetings with numerous potential direct or indirect managers in this order: potential n+2, potential n+1, Recruiter manager. I've also completed an extensive home assignment with 13 questions, among which some were extremely challenging and required an extensive knowledge of the solution. I've also done a role play panel interview of one hour where I was presenting appsflyer solution to a possible client (role-played, again, by two new managers). As you can see, this was a very long process, which in a way is great because it allows to meet with the close and undirect teams to really get an idea of the job and of who I would be working with. Unfortunately, I didn't get the job. What then I really didn't like was the feedback I received after such a long process: I'm not sure I was in final stage, but still after so many steps I was hoping to have a least a constructive and actionable feedback. Instead of that, I just had a 2 minutes call with the HR who just told me "we're moving forward with another candidate". I asked for more details, but she told me that's all she knew. A couple of days later I received a very standard email, similar to the type of emails you would receive when your application is not passing through the CV screening. Overall, the beginning of the experience was positive, but the end was extremely negative because there was a strong unbalance between the extensive process I've been through and the bascially non-existent feedback I received. On top of that, couple of notes: - The HR was always ringing me to set up the timeslots for the new steps. At first, it is of course fine. But after 5 steps, it is a bit annoying because I always had to deal with multiple timezones between Ireland, France, and Israel timezones to find a common slots. I'd suggest to use a calendar tool that sync the calendars where the candidate can book a slot (should be quite the norm in 2021 for a tech company...). - The process was designed to urge me to book the next slot super quickly: I would typically not hear from appsflyer for a whole week, and after that they would call me and I would need to get ready for the next step or submit my home assignment in the next 48 hours.
