Applied Materials interview questions

Applied to one of the M2 operation management positions, was invited to interview. First interview was a screen with one of the managers, went really well, moved on to the next round. Next round interview was with the next level manager. This is where they did a bait-and-switch. They already filled the role I applied to and instead were trying to fill a night shift position. Still went through the interview, was actually very positive. Then I get ghosted and only found out I got declined by logging into the career website.
