I interviewed at Applied Materials (Londres, Inglaterra)
Interview
I had two interviews of three in addition to the initial call with talent management.
The email communication was great.
Invites all in tact and each one following the other in the same email chain rather than numerous threads to search.
All hosted on Teams.
Great open dialogue of questions and lots of two way opportunities for expanded conversations.
I applied online. I interviewed at Applied Materials (Santa Clara, CA) in Nov 2024
Interview
I had a bit long but definitely negative interview process. First, I had interview for another role. They scheduled a next step which is in person and cancelled that interview the day (even after I left home) of the interview due to changing the position to internal. They reached out with IE role later on the same day and send me an application link. I applied. The same day at 9PM (yes, evening!) hiring manager called me and made an interview with technical questions. They finally scheduled another step after this. The invitation was with 1 person and for 30 minutes slot but it was with a team of engineers and 1 hour meeting. Might seem a slight difference but I have a job which I am currently working and scheduling my time accordingly. The interview was okay but I got ghosted even though I followed up twice after the interview. At least after all these steps they could have showed a decency and send a generic rejection message.

Interview
The interview process was simple. the interviewer asked common questions and the interviewee, me in this case, was able to answer them. Aside from the common ice breaking questions, we were also asked what we enjoy doing outside of work which was a little more casual conversation that felt good.
