      Scheduled a call and had a reasonable length interview, mostly about typical mechanical engineering concepts in physics and mechanics. Interview seemed fine, but there was no communication after the initial interview

      I had a 45 minute phone screening followed by online 2 person interview with a mid level and principal engineer. Next steps would be an in person interview at their Gloucester facility.

      I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Applied Materials (Santa Clara, CA) in Jan 2010

      Interview

      I was interviewed on-site by a panel of three people from the group to which I had applied. They asked me personality questions like how I worked in a team and some questions about my previous technical projects and how I dealt with setbacks or problems in those projects. They ended the interview with one technical question concerning basic engineering principles.
