I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Anglo American
Interview
An Anglo-American recruiter got in touch via LinkedIn about this really exciting opportunity. I had two interviews/conversations, one with the recruiter and one with the hiring manager. I received positive feedback from the interviews and was told that they were going to invite me for a third interview with a specialist in the area of the job I was applying for.
Every other week I would receive an update from the recruiter saying that they were still trying to arrange the interview and that it was going to happen. After two months or so I stopped receiving updates and when I got in touch to find out if my application was still live I got no answer whatsoever.
Thank you for your feedback and apologies that your experience wasn’t a positive one. Unfortunately we don’t have enough information to know exactly which opportunity you’re referring to. It is likely that the position you applied to was cancelled or placed on hold. We obviously would have expected that this be communicated with you and are very sorry that this wasn’t the case. We have ongoing training & mentoring for all team members which focus on the importance of how we communicate with all candidates to make sure your experience is always the very best. We expect that any future interaction with Anglo American will be positive.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Anglo American (Brisbane) in May 2013
Interview
STAR Behavioural interview questions. The interview process use a panel with hiring manager and HR representative. Interview can also occur via. the phone. I found the STAR interview process can be difficult if you are not prepared for this type of interview as thinking of a specific situation on the spot can be very difficult.
