I applied online. I interviewed at Andela (Lagos) in Oct 2023
Interview
The interview process was extensive, including a challenging coding test featuring exceptionally difficult problems, which was one of the several stages candidates had to successfully navigate.
I would suggest solving several dynamic programming and sliding window problems before attempting

Question 1
Leetcode hard questions involving dynamic programming
The process involved a personality test, a timed coding assessment in a language of your preference with about three questions, and a face-to-face interview with the recruiter.
I then had a technical interview.

Question 1
Previous experience with the job I was applying for
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Andela in May 2025
Interview
I was reached out to by a recruiter. The whole process had 2 stages. The first one was an online test with single or multiple choice questions (these are often extremely ambiguous) and a tech task. Then you have a tech interview. The questions themselves were quite easy but there is another live coding challenge where you can't use an IDE or debugger. Failed live coding got an automated rejection email just in a few minutes. Do not recommend.

Question 1
What have you done at your current and previous projects. Have you designed a DB from scratch etc.
My interview with Andela was a great experience. The interviewers were professional and friendly, which made me feel comfortable throughout the process. They asked thoughtful questions that tested both my technical and problem-solving skills. I appreciated the structure of the interview—it was well-organized and gave me an opportunity to showcase my strengths. It also gave me a good sense of the company's culture and what they value in a candidate. Overall, it was both challenging and encouraging, and I left the interview feeling confident and motivated.
