I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at American Red Cross (Washington, DC) in May 2014
Interview
It was pretty straight forward but lengthy. I first had an interview via the phone followed by 2 in-person interviews and one Skype interview. The whole process took almost 2 months until it was completed. The length of the process almost made me lose focus. The good news was that I got the interview after completing the long online profile/application. It was the very first time I was contacted for an interview after completed such an un-personal style.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The questions were pretty standard. For example: What are your greatest strengths or weaknesses; what are my best skills; how would I perform in a stressful situation, etc.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at American Red Cross (Dallas, TX) in Mar 2016
Interview
A very impersonal phone interview with board members, division vp and director of HR. Only the division vp talked and asked questions which did not bring out my strengths or why I would be a great executive. She had zero personality and her questions were vague and did not allow for any interaction.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at American Red Cross in Apr 2015
Interview
Intensive interview with fair questioning. Candidates are asked about situations regarding finances/development and growth. Several phone interviews with two managers, both offering insight and asking questions. Again, fair and open for questions and comments. Picking of the brain for ideas and techniques also helps to show your own work regimen and accumen.
