I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Vancouver, BC) in Sep 2021
Interview
They mix the general interview questions with their 14 principles they live by. Learn it by heart and provide examples. They like it if you use the STAR method in answering your questions. Most questions are behavioural questions. You pair your answers with real problems from prior jobs.
one phone interview from an amazon recruiter, one behavior phone interview and one chime video interview with an amazon employee... I did not have a chance for next interviews for discussing my portfolio and for 7-hours meeting at their office
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon in May 2021
Interview
Amazon is so entitled they don't feel like they have the need to treat people with human decency. When the recruiter reached out to me after I applied, they mentioned I'd have the opportunity to do a 30 min phone call with them before the phone interview to ask questions. Recruiter went straight to just scheduling the phone interview and didn't even bother wanting to talk to me so never actually spoke to a recruiter at Amazon because I assume they're too lazy. Then I completed the phone interview, and the next day figured I'd get an email about whether they would proceed or not. Didn't get anything, so out of curiosity I went and checked my application status to see that it was already archived and marked as "No Longer Under Consideration". Couldn't bother to send me an automated email telling me so? Don't worry, checked my junk mail folder and didn't see anything either. Seems pretty simple to treat people with common respect.

Question 1
If you decide to proceed, be sure to throw your personality out the window and memorize their Leadership Principles and be prepared to recite them like a robot! They don't care about you personally, they just want to know if you can conform and tell them what they want to hear. My advice to designers who have dreams, steer clear.
