I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
Got asked a super easy algo question. Interviewer asked me to manually go through the code line by line using an input, I did. Then he asked me to do it 3 times... The code logic was clear, the algorithm works, but he still failed me.
Fun, easy going, nice chat, happy convo, would do again. Best time of my life. Why make people review? Dilute the concrete reviews. Must write 30 more words. How is this not 30 words yet
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon in Jul 2020
Interview
First Online assessment. Then a virtual onsite consisting of 4-5 rounds with questions around behavioral (amazon leadership principles), DSA, System Design. They expect high scale examples for behavioral questions. DSA questions are mostly from the most frequently asked questions. And system design can be anything so you might want to be creative and try to read up on MVC/ Micro-services architecture/ CAP theorem/ scalability/ load balancing / security etc
