I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
Contacted by a recruiter via Linkedin. Followed by an online assessment, phone call with hiring manager, writing exercise, 5 additional 1 on 1 interviews. The interview process is ridiculously long and you get absolutely no feedback. The interviewers were pleasant people but other than the hiring manager, no one really knows much about the role. The same questions get repeated across interviewers but you are expected to have different answers, which is annoying more than anything else. The job descriptions are vague and don't get much clearer post the interviews.
The recruitment process is a mess. I had 4 different recruiters reaching out along the process with no clear indication as to what each of their role was in the process. The lack of feedback is particularly frustrating.
On the whole, the recruiting process doesn't inspire confidence in the company's0 abilities and there doesn't seem to be much of a clear career path for this track.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
All the questions follow the same format. "Tell me about a time when...xxx". It's pretty clear they are trying to assess you on their leadership principles. If the interviewer is actually listening, their may be a few follow-ups, but they are mostly pretty robotic.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon in May 2021
Interview
Online assessments, followed by a phone interview.
The recruiters for Amazon are absolutely terrible. Expect poor responses, lengthy wait times in between emails, and responses that never answer questions.
To make it more unorganized, they add more recruiters along the process who also cannot answer basic questions about the position or company. Simply put, the poor standards set by their recruiters was an immediate turn-off by me.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon in May 2020
Interview
I had an initial phone screen and a virtual final interview with seven different people. They were all nice and friendly. Interviews were mostly behavioral and focused on the company's leadership principles.
