I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Jan 2022
Interview
I first had an online assessment, then a phone interview, and then the virtual interviews (6 people). Recruiters organize all scheduling. You need energy to go through the round interviews. They want certain answers what they think will relate to APs. It is not always the case. I guess you either make up answers or repeat yourself with a few most relevant examples you can give from your past.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time questions is a start point. Depending on your answer, the interviewers keep asking more questions. I had an entirely different background and to be able to explain to the team the decisions I made were reasonable I needed to explain some technical details. The team found it boring.

Interview
It's a super day interview.
4 rounds in one day, two back to back 45 minutes first, take 30 minutes to break, then another two back to back 45 minutes interview
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
The worst interview process I’ve ever taken part of. It took two months of exams, scheduling interviews with the very slow schedulers, reviewing all of their leadership principles and documents, and actually interviewing and I never even spoke with the hiring manager before they said no. The second person I interviewed with was condescending, lacked experience, and had only been with Amazon about a year. The recruiter said they would be there to help every step of the way but never responded to any of my questions. The job description was inaccurate and the more I heard about the role, the less interested I became. They prided themselves on being very demanding and lacking in work life balance. A horrible waste of time and I will never consider interviewing with Amazon again despite them asking if I’d be open to other roles.
