I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Aug 2019
Interview
First round - Screening and technical
I was asked to explain about PKI, OWASP top 10, threat modeling, PFS, and few behavioral questions. The interviewer did not ask me anything from my resume which was really strange.
The gap between first and second round of interview was 15 days, however, interestingly I had received a feedback email from Amazon where I had to rate their interview process. My gut feeling suggested that Amazon did not want to proceed with my candidacy, but in the email it was mentioned that "...no way this email suggests that your interview process with Amazon has ended. Please contact your respective hiring manager for updates". I was like ....OK.
So they finally scheduled my second round of interview. I was told that it will be an Amazon leadership + technical round. On the day of the interview, the interviewer(s) probably had made a decision about my candidacy even before the second round because I was able to feel the lack of enthusiasm and curiosity in the interviewer's voice. Also I feel that the second round was more of a formality than to really gauge my knowledge and skills. Nevertheless I gave my best shot. However the dull attitude and lack of energy in the interviewer's voice and the fact that the interviewer said "good luck and take care" towards the end of the interview made my gut feeling even stronger. I knew then and there that Amazon was not going to go forward with my candidacy.
Soon, I was officially informed via email that Amazon will not be going forward with my application (which i kinda knew because i had the gut feeling from the second round of interview).
Overall i believe the process could have been better and transparent.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon in Aug 2019
Interview
Interview process was straightforward. Got contacted for a one hour phone interview. Phone interview was also straightforward. I answered most of the questions correctly give the knowledge I had at the time and the interviewer’s response afterwards. Interview seemed nice but the recruiter that was listed as the point of contact was very slow in responding to my emails and didn’t respond to my last sent email to them but instead, sent a generic “we will not be moving forward with you” email. That’s the end of that I guess.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Amazon (Dublín, Dublín) in Nov 2018
Interview
I have submitted my CV for the review and thereafter I have been contacted from the point of contact during this process. I have been requested to attend a phone interview and interview went on up to 1 hour. Overall it was easy to crack the interview if your concepts are clear about security. They will ask for security operations questions in-depth.
