I applied online and heard back from a recruiter shortly. I had previously done technical interviews for another area of Amazon and that information was thankfully shared, so my interview process was expedited. I did one behavioral screen and was then invited onsite. Amazon has some logistical issues with recruiting and the first email I received about the onsite was an itinerary for another candidate. The booking from that point was inflexible and the reimbursement form was clearly designed for internal employees (and thus practically inscrutable to me - I ended up not trying to get any reimbursements because the process was so awful). I came onsite for the interview and was treated to a mix of behavioral and technical interviews. The level of difficulty between interviews (and the competency of the interviewers) varied wildly. I was assigned a "lunch buddy" who came in asking why I hadn't ordered anything for lunch (the answer is they had sent me the lunch information during my earlier interviews and had not had a second to address it - interviewers were not good about handling their allotted time). I received a call from my recruiter the next day with feedback and got back to her promptly... and then proceeded to never hear back. My interview was over a month ago and I never received any sort of decision or feedback. Very disappointed.
