Amazon Program Manager interview questions

Before even interviewing, HR pressured me to disclose my current salary. I gave them a range I was expecting, and they agreed the offer would definitely be within this band and not to waste each other's time. Later, after 8 tiring rounds of interviews, HR threatened again they would not make an offer until I disclosed my actual salary. I had to show them a local government regulation page stating this is no longer allowed. Then when the offer came, it was still 20% below the floor of my expected range, and definitely below my current salary. The recruiter also said I had 48 hours to accept the offer, otherwise it would lapse. This was so ridiculous and unpleasant I rejected the offer without negotiating further. Overall very unpleasant experience with the recruiting team. I would advise future candidates to request for 40-50% higher than whatever your target is from the start.
