I had always heard positive things about Amazon's recruitment process, but my experience was disappointing. Many interviewers simply read questions from their computers and offered no room for discussion. They didn't seem interested in my past accomplishments, expertise, or the value I could bring. Their primary concern seemed to be whether my responses followed the STAR method. Additionally, they couldn't explain the role I applied for, likely because they weren't from the same department. The entire process felt robotic and impersonal. The recruiter's broken English also made communication difficult. Ultimately, I declined the offer because this experience did not reflect the positive reputation of Amazon that I had encountered elsewhere.

Extremely long final round of interviews. Ensure you prep using STAR methods. I went through a phone screening that was on camera. Case study questions were involved and the final round was almost 5-6 hours.

Il semble qu'il y ait un nombre excessif d'étapes et de tests dans le processus de sélection, lesquels ne parviennent pas toujours à capturer fidèlement les qualifications réelles et les compétences d'une personne. Ces procédures prolongées peuvent parfois décourager des candidats potentiellement excellents qui possèdent des qualités non mesurables par de tels tests. Cependant, il est important de noter qu'une fois le premier entretien réussi, les choses semblent s'accélérer considérablement. Le processus devient subitement bien plus fluide et rapide, offrant aux candidats une expérience beaucoup plus agréable et moins fastidieuse. Cela suggère qu'une fois le principal obstacle franchi, l'organisation est capable d'accélérer les choses et de faciliter la progression des candidats dans les étapes restantes.
