I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
Process: phone interview(based on resume)- Role play 1(interview with role play company CTO/15 min)- Role play 2(product solution presentation/1hr )-Hiring manager interview- HR interview. (I only get through to Role play 2)
It's a role play interview that require a lot of technical skills. (more like a solution architect in sales role)
I was provided with the information that an Internet Company is considered switching to AWS, and I have to perform a presentation to close the deal.
-Role play 1: to get information about client current SPEC.
(After first role play interview, I got one weeks to prepare for my final presentation. )
-Role play 2: based on the information i got previously, I prepare a presentation with a) Why AWS? b)Current situation c)AWS solution and product. The presentation was very intense, interviewers would ask questions during the presentation. The questions include lots of technical parts, ie. network problems, how products work..... have to be VERY familiar with AWS products(EC2/EBS/S3/VPC/RDS/ELB/Cloudfront)
I answered like 2-3 questions wrong( out of like 15 questions) and I didn't pass this round. The interview feedback is I got very good sales skills but need to improve my technical skills.
I would say this is an interview require 10% sales skills and 90% technical skills/product knowledge. I was heard that objection handling is very important but it's really about how deep and how wide you know about AWS products.

Question 1
Can you explain what's the difference of region/AZ/edge location?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Pekín, Pekín) in Oct 2017
Interview
Applied on linkedin, phone screen same day, first round was hiring manager interview, second round was a mocking presentation, tech problems. Did not make it the third round.
During the 2nd round of interview, I feel like the interviewers were hostile and aggressive. maybe that is what they tried to be as the clients can be crazy sometimes. But as having not experienced any Chinese coworkers, I forgot how rude they can be sometimes. So I was scared and did not like the team immediately. Glad I did not pass honestly.
They are mostly looking for someone with Tech sales experiences. Basically a CS person who can speak to normal people.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Arlington, VA)
Interview
Extensive and intrusive. No communication amongst interviewers lead to repetitive questioning. After 4 phone interviews, I wasted 5 hours onsite with 2 conference calls with poor connectivity and finally spoke with 2 real people. The vague declination of an offer call left me puzzled and turned off with the company’s organization.
