I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Sep 2019
Interview
Had a first phone interview, then a second phone interview 10 days later, and then followed by on-site interviews 2.5 weeks later. The Amazon interview process is a grueling series of behavioral questions that probe for story after story from your career that should already be demonstrating their Leadership Values.
I received a call about half a week later asking if I would come back in to interview with some other teams for the role as the first set felt I had a great fit at Amazon but not with this role on their team. I then returned for a second round of on-sites a week later, where they asked me many of the same questions and I likely provided many of the same stories considering I couldn't remember which ones I had or hadn't told during my first round of on-sites.
This loop ultimately resulted in no offer after a series of 9 on-site interviews . Other companies seem to have figured out if they do or don't want to hire someone in far fewer interviews - this was a miserable experience and seems to be unique to Amazon.

Question 1
Tell me about a time that you were wrong about something.
The process was a bit abrupt, however it was a very technical interview. The Hiring Manager was asking questions and stepping into mute with no fluid communication. The feeling was cold since the beginning. It was the kind of experience to analyze how to change the interviewers attitude.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Santa Clara, CA)
Interview
Not so professional. Recruiters do NOT respond on time or sometimes don't respond at all.
More than 1 person on the panel in the first telephonic round. Interview got postponed couple of times as the interviewer was not available.
