I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon in Dec 2020
Interview
Here is timeline is like:
First round is Phone interview, received email to next round next day.
Virtual On-site Interview:
5 round back to back interview with 15mins or an hour (if went through lunch time) break
45 minute interview with a Senior Project Manager using Amazon Chime. Amazon Chime did not work properly for either of us. When we finally got our technical issues solved, the interview process started. All in all, it was pretty miserable. I would start my answers by trying to give some context and then describing the situation, but the interviewer constantly interrupted me and I feel like I was never able to give a good answer. My previous companies also never used pure Agile - it was always a version of Agile tweaked to fit the project. When I explained that we used days instead of story points, the interviewer looked at me like I had just kicked his dog. =/
The first call is from the recrutier t do the screening. Then the 2nd phone call is with another TPM. Then it's the final interview with 5-6 peoples on a full day. Each interview with two people, one asked questions, and the other one took notes.
