I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Jun 2025
Interview
The process starts with Amazon’s well-known online assessment. It simulates an email inbox where you receive instructions and information, and you need to answer questions based on that. It’s somewhat engaging, but you finish the test without any idea of how well you did.
Next is a 30-minute screening call with the hiring manager. Expect role-specific questions and two behavioral questions based on Amazon’s Leadership Principles.
If you pass that stage, you move on to the loop: five one-hour interviews entirely focused on the Leadership Principles. Depending on the interviewer's style, it can be two deep-dive questions or several questions with less depth. One of the five interviewers might be a Bar Raiser, whose job is to ensure you're above average for the role.
