I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Amazon (Nueva Delhi) in Jan 2025
Interview
I recently went through the Amazon interview process, which began with resume shortlisting. The first round was a 1.5-hour online assessment consisting of two programming questions focused on data structures and algorithms. After clearing this, I was invited to a technical interview where I was asked in-depth questions related to my resume, coding skills, and problem-solving approach. Throughout the process, there were also behavioral assessments and surveys designed to understand how well candidates align with Amazon’s Leadership Principles. Finally, we were asked to resubmit our resumes for internal verification.

Question 1
One of the key questions they asked me was a coding problem that involved optimizing an algorithm using data structures like hash maps or priority queues. The problem tested both my problem-solving ability and how well I could explain my approach step-by-step. Additionally, they asked behavioral questions such as, “Tell me about a time you took ownership of a difficult situation,” which aligns with Amazon’s Leadership Principles.
The interview process was straightforward and friendly. It started with a recruiter screening, followed by a technical interview. The interviewer asked basic coding questions, object-oriented programming concepts, and a few behavioral questions based on Amazon Leadership Principles. The coding problems were not very difficult, and the interviewer was willing to provide hints when needed. Overall, the experience was positive and well organized.
i applied online around october, got the OA around march/april originally for summer but headcount was reached so i expressed interest in being considered for their fall internship. they reached out in late may and got my interview scheduled in june
