I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Sídney) in Apr 2022
Interview
I applied, was sent an email (no phone calls throughout the process) about a week later to put in my availability for a phone interview. Interview was scheduled the following week with the hiring manager.
The interview went for an hour, despite some technical hiccups through Amazon Chime (common, apparently) the process was relatively smooth.
I was receiving positive feedback in the interview based on my answers and fitting in with management style/team and compatibility.
In all honesty, I like to believe I can read situations/people and I typically prefer to take a humble approach but I left this particular interview feeling positive, however I received an email two days later - that was very generic and not tailored to me - stating they had decided not to continue with my application, with no explanation as to why.
I wrote back and politely requested for feedback that I could take on to improve/grow in future and have not heard back, I am no longer holding my breath for a reply.
I understand Amazon gets mountains of applications for roles, but my expectation of following up an actual interview would be a much more personal approach. The email itself was very templated and I'm incredibly dissapointed they havent even replied to my request, let alone provide feedback.
A shame as Amazon was obviously high up on my list of companies and had they approached this experience differently I would have applied myself to strive for success at a future role, however this has left a bad taste.

Question 1
If you do your research you will find there is numerous possible questions they will ask you that align to the leadership principles, it's impossible to prep for an answer for all so your best bet is to come up with scenarios you've faced that could align to multiple principles and questions using the STAR method.
First I passed the assessment its not an easy one, next step is phone screen 1 hour interview, my recruiter shared helpful information; connect 12 LP's to your work examples using a STAR method, 2-3 examples per LP.
Process was relatively straight forward, I didn’t make it to the loop. What I can tell you is the recruiter will be overly excited about you as they are with all candidates. They’ll tell you, you can expect to hear back in two days for feedback. Truth is, if they reject you then you will not hear back within 2 days it will be more like a week. Silence means you aren’t getting the job, they’re very binary.

Question 1
When did you make a choice no one asked you for? Why?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Amazon (Luxemburgo)
Interview
Good interview, reached the marathon loop of interviews. It was intense and quite focused on STAR stories obviously. Got some nice feedbacks as well to improve in case I managed to get another interview in a few months
