I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon in Dec 2017
Interview
Applied online through a referral in October. I heard back a few days later and set up a phone interview with the recruiter. Next, I had a phone interview with the supervisor about two weeks later. About a month later I had an in person interview in the office. The in person interview lasted from 9 am to 11:30 am, and I met with four different people back to back. The interviews are challenging, so I recommend researching the Amazon leadership principles and thinking about how they relate to your own experience. Think of an example for each leadership principle.

STAR format is everything. They care a ton about data. Do research on their leadership principles. The scenario questions they ask will be centered around these principles. Also do research on AWS and the cloud service and what it offers to their clients.
