I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Amazon (Herndon, VA) in Aug 2017
Interview
Extremely lengthy, painful, and arduous over a 2.5 month period. One of the worst experiences in terms of time wasted, but at least I learned something from the process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Many of the technical questions associated with the position being interviewed for, including the general "why amazon" etc. Make sure to prepare for the Leadership Principles of the company and have a scenario established for each of the 12 principles.
The process took a very long time and after 4 rounds of interviwes I got only an auto rejection email. The company check only the Leadership principles, and it looks like they don't have an interest in smth else. Anyway people were nice, the case study was interesting as well.

Did a test task and was called by HR almost immediately for the next round. But salary range (full packet with stock and benefits) and return to office policy did nit much my expectations
very standard. the interviewers had a set of questions to ask about the LPs so we can anticipate beforehand. But I think I got ghosted in the end. One of the interviewers told me about the 2 & 5 rule but its been more than 2 weeks since my last interview and still no response from anyone so idk what happened.
