I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Hyderabad) in Jul 2016
Interview
The interview process is LONG. Started off with a couple of telephonic rounds. The technical questions weren't too intensive. Just a couple of easy SQL queries in the first round and most questions asked from the resume. The second round was shorter and no problem solving questions were asked. The HR called back after the second interview that I'll have to travel to Hyderabad for the on-site interview. Had 3 interview rounds in a day. The first was a telephonic conversation, the other two were VCs. There were a few technical questions asked in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, but were mostly behavioral questions. Upon return, had another couple of telephonic rounds and again mostly focused on behavioral scenarios. Was informed of selection a day after my last telephonic round, which was the 7th interview in all. The entire process seemed to be a healthy mix of technical knowledge, understanding of the projects mentioned on the resume and behavioral scenarios
