I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Luxemburgo) in Sep 2014
Interview
- Four interviews
- One phone interview and three in house interviews
- each interview had 45 mins
- I liked the atmosphere very much, very nice people. It felt more like a conversation than like a job interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
- What would you do in this and that situation? (situations like when you couldn't deliver what you promised; what you would do in case a customer is very demanding...)
- Highlight some things you like about amazon. Make proposals to improve things you mentioned.
- Some technical questions and a short test related to my job description (not very difficult)
You sit down for three interviews back to back, each around an hour, and you get asked behavioural questions. There's heaps of story telling and normal dialogue which is great because the interviewer has the opportunity to get to know you better and you get to know the company and potentially your manager/peer on a more personal level.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Some questions were difficult because you couldn't find an example based on your life experience or in work situations, so going hypothetical is necessary if you get stuck for too long
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
It was a one-on-one on-campus interview. They hosted an informal info-session the day before the actual interview. And it was a mix of both behavioral and situational. The interview was not particularly hard, but if you are an international student, please be sure that they will sponsor your work visa. For the position that i applied to, they didn't have the quota to sponsor.
