I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Sep 2013
Interview
Four person panel interview for 2 hours non stop. 30% of time they asked me questions and expected me to ask them questions for 70% of the time. Some interviewers focused on technical skills, others focused on high level thought processes and really drill down into your thought process.
I applied online, then a numerical test(quite easy) and then a phone interview.
The interviewer was very friendly and asked mainly behavioral/fit questions.Q&A allowed at the end of the interview.Part in english if you are not native.just one very basic math problem.
STAR method suggested.
