The interview and hiring process in Amazon is as peculiar as the Company, but it is amazingly peculiar. The extent of time and effort the team spends in getting the best talent and the extent they value the leadership principles is extremely high.

Big confusion with whom they actually looking up for a particular role.
Job description has own focus areas. HR explained that, in fact, JD in general doesn't match with real expectations which will be provided by hiring manager. Hiring manager explained his own vision so I built my interview process backwards from my "customer" (life has an irony, isn't?). Feedback was: "all cool, but we revised once again what we actually need someone else with something else..."
Amazon is not a unique in the moving goal posts, but might be it is their internal culture. Problem is that you're assessed against something you wasn't even asked.

- 10 min Video Interview
- Then two on site interviews: • back to back 45 minutes • met with 4 people (2 people in each interview)
- Friendly atmosphere and interviewers were positive and made the process easy
- HR was amazing in helping and preparing for the interview
- Don't wear a suit to the interview you will look out place with Amazon's culture. I wore a nice button shirt with no tie.
