I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Dublín, Dublín) in Jun 2016
Interview
1 x Phone interview focused on leadership and tech questions. 6 x 1 hour on site interview focused on leadership and tech questions. Interviewing is very example/behavioral question based and revolves around softskill questions pulled from the leadership principles (customer obsession, deliver results etc.) and functional tech specific questions depending on the role (i.e. SDE is quizzed on Data Structures and Algorithms, System Design, Problem Solving etc.).

Question 1
Give an example of a time you had to solve a complex problem?
This was by far the most unprofessional interview I've ever been a part of. The interviewer missed the first 1/3 of the interview by being late (and not alerting me that he would be late), but did not add on any additional time at the end. The remaining 2/3 of the interview were split between him asking me questions, and me asking him questions. He seemed genuinely uninterested in any answer I gave him, as if he had already made his decision before I even opened my mouth. Finally his answers to the questions I asked him about Amazon were lacking in any depth or insight. He really just wanted to get back to whatever it was he was doing before he was forced to call me.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Amazon in Feb 2019
Interview
1 Telecon, 4 onsite and 1 video call. Telecon is initial screening round. Also, I was asked for writing assignment to be submitted after telecon and before onsite interview.
