I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Allstate (Chicago, IL) in Dec 2011
Interview
I had gone through a very professional interview via the phone, then an online assessment was scheduled, I passed the assessment & was set up for a 1 on 1 interview. I was told I've been recommended for the available position however it takes 2 weeks to hear back on the background check which includes a criminal background check and credit check. Have 2 weeks to go!
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Allstate in May 2011
Interview
First you apply, then their talent acquisition team conducts a mini-interview on the phone to qualify you. Then you are scheduled for a panel interview with 2-3 office reps. If you pass, take a drug test and background check. Lastly, a 30 min job sit-along and final interview.
The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Allstate (Naperville, IL) in Nov 2011
Interview
There interview process was terrible. I was interview by two individuals; one was completely disrespectful and inattentive. He at one point placed his hand on his chin to rest his head, as if I was boring him. I never have been so disrespected in an interview before. They asked my questions that were totally irrelevant to the position in which I was applying for. I would not recommend even wasting your time interview with this company. They make you jump through a lot of unnecessary hoops for a interview and then disrespect you. Terrible experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They ask a lot of questions about past work experiences even if it is completely irrelevant to the position in which you are applying. They asked a lot of questions about my past dealings with unions and collective bargaining argeements. Have no idea what kind of correlation that has to insurance.
