I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Allstate (New York, NY) in May 2013
Interview
They were not fair in their interview. I felt as if I wasn't being listened to. They need to work on their interviewing skills so people feel better about their company.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Allstate in Sep 2015
Interview
I was extended a Montage recorded video interview from my university's career fair. In this interview I recorded myself answering 6 or 7 questions. I was presented the question and then had one opportunity to record myself. There was no time limit on this but all questions had to be completed within 72 hours. This was more about my elevator speech and experience. Next, I was given the opportunity to have an interview with 2 people over Montage video (similar to Skype). I was asked 4 behavioral questions in this part. It was very hard to connect with the recruiters via Skype as opposed to in person.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Allstate (Northbrook, IL) in Oct 2012
Interview
I had one phone interview, but I did have multiple recommendations from employees within the department due to previously being an Allstate intern. The phone interview was well done. The questions were appropriate, and challenging. The down side is, if I had not worked there I would not have had the opportunity to visit with people in the department and get to know them before accepting to work there.
