I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Allstate (Irving, TX) in May 2016
Interview
There were 3 interview sessions and one assessment to take. I interviewed on the phone, then took an assessment, then interviewed face to face with two people then went back again and interviewed with another person and then sat with someone who worked there to see what the job entailed. They were friendly and professional through the whole process. They seemed to like me and I loved what I saw and had learned about the company. I had my heart set on the company but after going through the entire process I was sent a generic email that said they had chosen another candidate. I wish they would have figured out they didn't want me much sooner as it would have saved all of us all a lot of time.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Allstate in Apr 2016
Interview
I was referred through a friend of a friend for an interview. Allstate called me and asked to schedule a quick 15 minute phone conversation the same day. At the scheduled time, the recruiter contacted me to say that her boss gave her work and asked if I could wait an extra hour. I waited an extra hour and ten minutes later, she gave me a full behavioral interview that took a full hour. A full month later, Allstate contacted me to ask about setting up a second phone interview. I declined.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Allstate (Charlotte, NC) in May 2016
Interview
I put in an application online and was contacted by a recruiter to do a phone interview a couple weeks later. The phone interview was completely automated and consisted of information you can easily find on your resume with a couple situational questions thrown in for good measure. I was then emailed a customer service assessment that took approximately 45 minutes to complete.
A couple weeks later the recruiter scheduled me for a face-to-face interview with a hiring manager. Everyone was very pleasant and welcoming. Prior to the interview the hiring manager took me on a tour of the facility and laid out the day to day requirements for the job. The interview itself consisted of four situational questions so make sure you answer them in STAR format! Everything went smoothly and I felt like I would receive a job offer at the very least.
However, a day later the recruiter sent me an e-mail saying they went with someone that more closely matched the requirements of the position. Looking back on it, I was interviewed pretty late in the process so they may have had their minds made up before even getting to me. That's the way it goes sometimes though!
