I applied online. I interviewed at Allstate in Apr 2021
Interview
I applied online and then a week later had a phone interview. At the end of the week I got invited for a remote interview and I did not get chosen for an on site interview.
Filled out application they contacted via email asked to set up and interview interview lasted for about 45 mins over the computer. Told me they would reach out in 72H with a decision. The next day received the second step and congratulations email. It’s either second step or denial email.
First, there was a simulated interview where questions were recorded, and you would record your answer back. That was very easy, and the concept was nice.
I was then contacted to set up a Zoom interview. I thought I would be interviewing with HR personnel, but the interviewers explained they were on a project to do internal hiring. They didn't even have an enormous amount of experience in the role I was applying for, nor were they even in the state the posting was for...so I was surprised. They told me about themselves, then asked about me. There were a few behavioral/situational prompts. It was a simple interview, but I found it a bit unprofessional. One of the interviewers came off very arrogant, and made a slip up when sharing his screen..exposing another candidate's resume...exposing all their personal contact info. There were a few what would you do situations regarding every day scenarios on the work day.... which I found odd for an entry level job. How would one know what to do for an entry level job with no prior training or education on the position?
