I applied through college or university. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Allstate (Champaign, IL) in Feb 2015
Interview
I was invited to a face to face interview with college recruiters after a college career fair. The interview was pretty standard object oriented programming questions. I felt it went well. They said I would have a phone interview with HR the next week and then hear back within 2 weeks. Both of those statements turned out to be lies. I finally was rejected 2 and a half months later.

Question 1
What are the 4 pillars of object oriented programming? How do you access a table in SQL?
I applied online. I interviewed at Allstate (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2026
Interview
The first round was easy with the recruiter, just some questions about your experience. The second round was also smooth, just questions specific to the internship and some behavioral. The interview team was young but explained everything pretty well.

Question 1
What is one skill you learned from an experience and applied it to another experience?
It was good. In my process I did a hirevue and after the screening was invited for an interview with two employees. An hour long interview and that was the final round.
Common interview questions include your background, strengths, weaknesses, and achievements. Be prepared to discuss teamwork, problem-solving, leadership experiences, and your motivation for joining the company. "Describe your background and experience relevant to this role. Highlight key skills, accomplishments, and how they align with the job requirements. What motivates you to join our team and organization?
