Interview process is standard and informal, people were pleasant throughout. The final stage I had seemed to meander and cannot have provided useful insight for the interviewer. After spending ~4 hours on multiple stages for a Singapore-based role they tried the bait-and-switch to offer me a Bangkok-based role, so presumably the Singapore reqs are just a resume collection exercise. Quite poor behaviour.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Standard easy/medium coding tasks, code review, general tech chat round
Common behavioral questions, focusing on previous experience and situations. Really focusing on skill demonstration and behaviour in specific situations. After there was also hometask given which had to be presented. Well organized, timely manner
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
“Tell me about a time when you had to work closely with someone whose personality was very different from yours.”
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Agoda (Bangkok) in Apr 2025
Interview
The whole process up to the interview was a complete mess. I’d applied for jobs and not heard back but through perseverance on LinkedIn I was able to find out who I needed to speak to ref my application and got an interview. A 6 stage process is ridiculous, extremely poor candidate experience, single interviewer panels open to bias. No consistency in the tools in which interviews are arranged. It’s very clear that 1. The whole recruitment process needs to be looked into as it’s extremely poor 2. Candidate experience is currently zero and you’re treated like a number with no feedback given even when requested.
