Applied via LinkedIn for a Senior Manager, PR role. After passing the initial screening, I was asked to complete a take-home writing test within 48 hours (the request came through on a Friday afternoon). I submitted the test on Saturday, after which Agoda’s Talent Acquisition team informed me they wanted to move me forward for an Associate Manager, PR role — two levels below the position I had applied and completed the assessment for. Given my background, I asked for clarification on the role’s responsibilities while reiterating my interest in Manager/Senior Manager opportunities, but never received a response.
Overall, the process did not reflect the level of professionalism I expected, particularly in communication and respect for candidates’ time.
