I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Agoda (Bangkok) in May 2023
Interview
First red flag: First meeting with recruiter the recruiter ghosted me. I waited in the meeting for 15 minutes no response. Followed up. No response. After messaging the VP of product about the experience I finally got a response from the recruiter and received a bunch of excuses as to why. Next step meet with a hiring manager and immediately was met with super awkward social skills. Second red flag: Agoda posted a job in a location they're not actually hiring for in order to get more candidates. Both recruiter in initial screening and hiring manager mention the position is actually in Bangkok. Third red flag: Recruiter mentions a TC that's significantly lower than the reported TCs everywhere (Glassdoor, etc). They're paying nowhere near market rates but when I say I'm not taking a paycut. Simultaneously I have a L7 offer at Amazon. I tell them I'd need more than now or to match my L7 offer from Amazon and they say okay and move me on to next round. Next I go through some basic back and forth with the hiring manager and they have me read a list of requirements and explain a simple REST API. They ask questions about what it means like what URL is for what request. There's very little context about the API and it was a waste of time. Fourth red flag: I get this business case study about emailing people. Attempting to do clarifying questions I get nothing in response. The question has a lot of industry-specific knowledge and isn't based on ability like most PM exercises. I'm told just to answer it. At this point it's clear someone got in trouble with the VP and they don't want to interview me. I just move on. Fifth red flag: I get the rejection response that they were surprised how I'm no where near qualified to be a PM despite me outearning their directors' TCs. They seem offended I wasted their time and curtly end the conversation. This is the most unprofessional interview I've done. Mind you I'm outearning their directors and I've passed an Amazon L7 loop at the same time, this was nowhere near standards of other tech companies. This place is just a joke.
How do you optimize an email marketing campaign for 40 million subscribers and 10 million unique searches when you have access to a pool of 100,000 discounts that are shared across other OTAs.
They rescheduled once and forgot about the interview. I sent them an email and they scheduled another one. Asked general questions. Should have canceled once they stood me up in the first place.
SHL Test. HR round. Then interviews with product team about my experience & case studies. Had opportunity to speak to senior managers, which was quite good. Gave me good glimpse into their culture.

That's kinda weird and absolutely inappropriate questions and tests for Project management position.
There is a test which analyses your... i don't know what exactly. It's a bunch of a programmer, SQL, IQ and math tests which have nothing in common with project management position and time for test solving is incredibly insufficient.
