I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at AMS (Kraków) in May 2010
Interview
1) Online language test (English) sent to a private email address
2) If the above passed, then a telephone interview (0.5 h) with questions regarding previous experience and education
3) If the above passed, then a face 2 face interview with 2 managers + additional tasks.
A F2F interview (0.5- 1 h) is mainly a CV review of experience + 2-3 competency based questions in foreign language.
Additional tasks include:
a) copy - paste excercise in Ms Word, to determine whether a candidate is a better match to Sourcing or Administration role
b) questions and answers excercise with a use of a telephone answering machine (you have to repeat sentences and answer some questions in foreign language) - this is used to ensure candidate meets a specific foreign language skills level

3b- this method is not commonly used by companies, so the candidate can get stressed, as have to answer the machine questions promptly. The questions however include such ones which you will not answer promptly in your own language, i.e. Do you think computers are useful nowadays and why? Before you even think about it, the machine starts asking another question.
