My first interview was conducted by the talent sourcing team, and it was straightforward as they primarily aimed to understand my skills and knowledge. The second interview was taken by the HR team, where technical questions were asked.
After the interviews, the company kept me waiting for approximately 45 days, which I found to be an unreasonable delay. During this time, I even rejected another job offer because this position was close to my home and aligned with my interests.
While I was genuinely interested in the role and believed I had a chance of being selected, I found the extended waiting period to be unprofessional. If a candidate is not being considered, it is courteous and standard practice to communicate the decision within 7 working days. Such delays not only inconvenience candidates but also reflect poorly on the organization's recruitment process.
