I am looking for my next watch - I try to buy one per year, for my bday. My absolute favorite would be Rolex Yachtmaster Titanium, however given how rare these are, it us very unlikely I will get one. In the absence of it, which if these three would you choose? 1. Zenith El Primero Skeleton; 2. Tag Heuer Monaco; JLC Reverso Duoface.

It’s awesome in person. On my shortlist. The vintage air kings are awesome for what they were, but today that niche in the lineup now is taken by Oyster perpetual and smaller case DJ imo. Air King became its own thing as the base tool watch and is formidable in its own right. As far as Rolexes go you will likely not see one in the wild very often at all. DJ? GMT, Sub etc? See them everywhere. Not remarkable. The Air King is actually interesting.

Every time I see this watch on someone’s wrist out in public it looks much much better than any image I’ve ever seen of it.
