How do I get past the AI companies are using to get a new job in a new field? I lost my career as a truck driver due to health reasons. twenty years down the drain. i was out of work for 3.5 months before taking a job from a temp agency. that pays just over minimum wage. I have worked in other industries prior to driving including owning a small business with 15 employees. I get refusals quickly almost every time I to a job I'm interested in. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.
Should I take the exit opportunity? Current a Mgr 3 going into M4 year at B4 for FY27 (no promotion to Sr.Mgr.). FY26 salary was around $152K with a $7K bonus, hybrid 3x a week, independence restrictions. I have an offer for $160K w/ a 10% performance bonus, remote, no independence restrictions, and a title change to Sr. Mgr. Should i try to stick around for 1 more year for the promo or exit? Was hoping the base would be higher after 8 years at B4 but market is tough.
How does one even begin to think to go back to work when life isn’t just lifing, you went through some really f’d up stuff… career pivot from customer service possible start but what low stress jobs hire people like me with a social anxiety and ptsd? Work from home are so hard to find but best option.
I received a job offer to an Amazon DSP company. The interview went great, everything seemed extremely positive. I completed the entire onboarding process and was only waiting for my background check to come back before starting training. The app said I would receive an email within 10 days with next steps but it's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard anything, the recruiter hasn't answered my calls or responded to my texts and there's no other contact info online. Do I give up or hold out?
I was a retail assistant manager for ~4 years, and I’m looking to pivot into a front desk/receptionist/admin position. I have some transferable skills—multitasking, time management, guest service, complaint resolution, communication, etc. I’m having a hard time finding anything. I’ve had interviews, and I’ve gotten a lot of green flags, but they always go with someone with experience. I’ve been told “keep applying, someone will give you a chance.” Any tips on what sector would be most likely to?
