"50% match up to 8%, plus 6% on top, for a grand total of 10%. This is outstanding and I do not know of anyone who tops that. If you make $100 and max out your 401k, you're putting away $28k a year."

The 401K match is highly competitive. Unfortunately the deductible on health insurance is high and the only was to get it lower is that stupid pedometer that I can't even wear at my job so I don't accumulate steps. This was a terrible idea for a defense company when half of the installations wont allow them to be worn. It should not be a contingent for competitive rates.

The best thing is the 10% contribution to retirement savings from the company. The worst is the medical coverage, have to fully meet deductible before they pay anything. Very few things (annual physical & 1 bloodwork) are free before deductible. My previous company covered prenatal care, this company does not.

Overall benefits are great, heath care options could be improved but that also may just be the nature of the health care industry. Job flexibility and vacation time flexibility are strong points.

The copays are a percentage of the service not a fixed fee so sick visits, lab work or specialist visits tend to get expensive. However, I am happy I have the quality of medical benefits are higher than most employers I've experienced.

Best - very complete
Worst - some could be less expensive
