Pros

Absolutely none. The company is a complete and utter joke now.

Cons

RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I just learned about how they will SUSPEND OR FIRE (unless they can coerce you into writing a letter that you will never do it again, and if you don’t write the letter you are fired on the spot) employees for having merchandise that they previously purchased or were gifted for sale on POSHMARK or other selling apps. The main problem is there is no form that you must sign before hire that says you can’t resell the clothing. Which if anyone has ever used Poshmark, you stand to barely make $10 on a $44 WORN dress. Not a loss to the company in my opinion. Instead, they scream and yell at you (LP manager for your region) that you are wrong and that you need to sign a letter saying you are not being “coerced” into writing this. Sounds fishy huh? But neglects to “incriminate” the rest of the staff for doing the same thing. They will only harass who they deem “fit”. Harassment and discrimination at its finest. This is just the cherry on top of a corrupt, money hungry, FAILING company. Read previous reviews from NUMEROUS other employees about how terrible this company.

Pros

The only pro is that my direct team in my store has become like a family to me. Other than that, there are no pros to working here. Stay away.

Cons

I have never worked for a more corrupt company in my life. From corporate level to upper management, no one cares about the store level employees. I was threatened by another employee and they decided to promote her instead of firing her. My DM openly hates me. My raise was an absolute joke. There is no work/life balance. Don’t even get me started on the pay. It is truly disgusting the way they treat their employees. I have been so disrespected and demoralized.

Pros

-Discount on merchandise (although it is barely anything at 30%...which is BARELY more than the customers BOGO discount) -Fashionable environment.

Cons

Proceed to this job with extreme CAUTION. -Unprofessional management. Crying over personal issues in the boutique was very common for this particular manager, as well as inappropriate relationships in the inventory room between management and her significant other. Very uncomfortable to have to work around that kind of behavior. - Hours are AWFUL. Expect around 8 hours a week if you are part time. And If management doesn't like you... say goodbye to your hours. Have seen some girls get down to one short shift a week. Also.. don't expect to get OT, because at Francesca's you get in trouble if you even go near 40 hrs. -The turnover rate. Don't get to close to your fellow co-workers, they will probably leave within 6 months. -The Assistant Managers will probably teach you more about the job than the actual manager. -The Promise- I can "promise" you that this is the most idiotic way to approach any customer. In theory it is a great idea, but it leaves no room for authenticity when speaking with customers. Francesca's prides themselves on not being like your standard retail store with pushy employees trying to score a sale, but they are actually so much more pushy. AND you do not earn commission. -They will blacklist pretty much anyone that leaves the boutique. Managers would joke about ignoring former customer's when they came into the boutique. Again adding on to the unprofessionalism. -I hope you won't ever need time off, because if you do it will be shrugged off and seen as unimportant. -Coworkers and Managers would make racist/ homophobic comments about guests. -Very slow to start scheduling you once you get hired. I was hired a month before I was ever actually put on the schedule. I don't know if the management there realizes this, but people have bills to pay. -If you want to purchase anything on your break, you will be forced by managers to purchase more than one item because it will affect their sales goal. Sorry, but my $8.00 an hour doesn't really sit well with that idea. -If you think fast food customer's can be rude, just WAIT until you meet the customer's at Francesca's. Snobby women who think that because they can afford overpriced, cheap quality clothing.. that it is completely fine to be rude to the employees trying to help them. ALTHOUGH, maybe I would be rude too if someone came up to me badgering me with questions about why I am shopping. -Don't expect training. It's more like a "when the altercation comes up, then we will teach you how to do this."
