Pros

I loved my direct team. We all had a very close bond and worked together seamlessly.

Cons

In the spring and summer of 2022 the company significantly over hired. I even mentioned to my manger that the workload did not require so many new hires. By fall 2022 I and many others were laid off claiming economic issues. As an added slap to the face I had just finished training two new hires barely a week beforehand. Why were these people hired if you were planning to do mass layoffs and why were long standing loyal employees let go instead of untrained new people. The company will preach a family environment but will not do what it takes to maintain staff and inspire loyalty in the people who remain.

Pros

The only pro was the insurance benefits but overall it really wasn't that great compared to the negative experience I had working for their corporate team.

Cons

Awful work/life balance even though it was a remote position. Manager expected us to work after hours to complete huge workload that was from accounts receivable from when eXp Realty was in its start up stages in 2017. I was employed 2019-2020 so my workload was basically cleaning up past mistakes (commission overpayments) + current ongoing mistakes (commission overpayments) that we really would never be able to get caught up on. Our manager of our department was extremely micromanaging and we had to be available in the world on our headset/available to speak to her at any moment during our 8-5pm workday. It was awful. I am also a real estate agent but had to leave for another brokerage because I never wanted to have to go into the EXP virtual world again after being stuck in it 50+ hours a week stuck staring at the computer screen and our dumb avatars without being able to move from my desk that whole time.
