very good outlook of opportunity to grow.
they want to hire from within and offer management classes (AIM) to help you.
don't necessarily need a certain degree just the right skill set(s).
Cons
long hours, always moving and exhausted, very competitive and lucrative business
- 40% discount as a manager and gratis merchandise frequently
- Always multiple associates to help get things done
-Tools are given to be successful
-Live results daily to see where opportunities are in the moment.
-Work/life balance is more important than companies I have worked for in the past, but it's retail. Expect to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Cons
- Sometimes stressful/negative environment
- Very tedious work with panty bars and other panty tables. They get VERY messy when they are on sale...guess who gets to put them back to standard :)
-Not enough recognition/incentive for associates
-No room for advancement
Each day I would go onto the sales floor feeling motivated and ready to achieve the store's quota. Corporate, but I actually appreciate that more than working for a small local company.
Cons
Benefits are not the best...and getting a promotion is very difficult, salary not very well in the beginning...gets sort of better after a year.
