Pros

Good hourly pay Free stuff Good discount

Cons

Not enough hours Not a lot of teamwork going on Not enough training for new employees Favoritism High school mindset, gossip Clique-y attitudes No appreciation towards employees who work the hardest Never any meetings to discuss issues or conversations to resolve issues Long time employees don't get much more than a new hire, what's up with that? No more commission, sells millions but can't help out the sellers a bit more? Snobby customers Too many coupon exclusions, causes issues between cashiers and customer VS AND PINK need to carry bigger bra and clothing sizes, makes employees look bad like we don't support a big sized gal, we love them all shapes and sizes Seems like all managers care about are numbers, not helping associates/sellers/cashiers become better at what they're doing or offer extra training If you decide to put your two-weeks in, prepare to feel like you're basically sitting alone in a huge cafeteria during lunch in highschool. Managers literally avoid employees who they don't want to work there anymore? Like above, managers will do anything without telling you because of personal issues. Personally they CUT my hours and now i'm saying goodbye to this literal hell.

Pros

Listen. They pay you really well as management especially if you’re an ASM or higher. But you’re salaried. I understand that once you’re salaried it’s expected you work more than 40 but they really want you to be there like 50 hours or more. You get free stuff too. Free outfit once a quarter if you work for PINK and free panty monthly.

Cons

The hours are horrible. If we’re scheduled to leave at 530 let us go at 530 not 645. If you’re schedule until 8 we shouldn’t have to stay until 930. It’s ridiculous. You’re only supposed to work 1 close and one mid a week. But the store manager can go against company policy and make you work 4 nights a week it’s torture and hell. No work life balance.

Pros

- Gratis, especially when you first join, you get a bunch of free bras - Learn all about bras and become very knowledgeable - LOTS of nice people work there, I made some really amazing friends! VS attracts many international people and individuals who are very classy and friendly

Cons

- Toxic and abusive behavior from management (lots of passive aggressive behavior to make staff feel bad about themselves, favoring certain people over others, bullying the nicer staff instead of creating a positive environment for growth) - Your senior sales staff WILL steal your sales and then smile in your face and ask you how you are doing, I found this very unsettling. I know in a sales environment it's competitive, but VS needs to change their sales structure so they aren't pressuring sales staff to reach even higher and higher goals. They need to be more realistic, then sales staff can relax a bit and be better at sales because they can work together to keep customers) - New sales all the time, with the wide range of products you already have to memorize, you have to memorize all the different promotions going on all the time, and you bet--they test you on it! - Higher and higher pressure sales, which is ridiculous because they expect you put things away as well and it becomes overwhelming having to manage that and put things away too - The store is constantly changed around, so that Bombshell bra you want to recommend to your customer? Sorry not there...this is why so many customers complain about being drug around with the staff not knowing what they are talking about - Unorganized management. There are a few different managers at VS and they will all tell you something different. One will tell you to do something, and the other will ask you "what are you doing here?" and get mad at you. Or one manager will tell you something is okay to wear or do, and another will give you hell about it. It happens on a daily basis. It's very frustrating. - They don't give you very many hours. They lure you in on the pretense of great benefits, and always give you less hours on purpose. Also, they will start taking your hours away once you have worked there for 2 months if your sales aren't high enough. Get ready for it. If you want to improve on the job...I don't think so...bring your A game (for $13/hour! HA!). Also the commission is a lie. You only get it if you achieve a sales goal, and you only get commission on what you sell AFTER reaching the goal. - I injured my foot and they forced me to continue wearing the shoes that made the problem happen. Thanks VS. I had black trainers that had black laces that you couldn't even see, and they forced me to wear more "stylish" shoes that injured my left foot permanently because of the running around and hard floors. - The headset will drive you mad with the voices all the time
